Libor Fafala

Libor Fafala was born in 1952 in Rumburk in the northern region of the Czech Republic. He studied glass manufacturing at the Apprentice Glass Center in Novy Bor, together with Peter Novotny. He later continued his studies at the Secondary Industrial Glass School where he obtained a diploma in glass technology. He then worked at the Novy Bor Hantych glassworks as a glass technologist and supervisor.
During 1982 – 1986, Fafala taught glass technology at L´ecole de beaux arts in Tunisia. In 1988 he served as a glass technology supervisor at various glassworks in Cuba.

Together Fafala with Peter Novotny founded the Ajeto glassworks in 1991.
